Enviropacific has been selected by Hi-Quality Group to deliver a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) designed primarily to treat potentially PFAS impacted water associated with the tunnel boring machine activities of the West Gate Tunnel Project.
The water to be processed by the water treatment plant at the Bulla Spoil Processing Facility within Hi-Quality Group’s Sunbury Eco-Hub may contain PFAS. The water being treated is predominantly run off water from the soil coming from the project.
The scope includes design, supply, and install of a 3MLD feed flow capacity WTP to treat water at the site that may contain PFAS. The plant will remove any encountered suspended solids, PFAS, and any other contaminants from the groundwater and surface runoff water. Physical and chemical pre-treatment processes, combined with adsorption, Ion Exchange, and a high recovery Reverse Osmosis (RO) System also form part of the treatment process to meet stringent stormwater discharge criteria.
